BEST DSL WIRELESS ROUTER. WIRELESS VOIP HEADSETS. WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY NEWS.
Best Dsl Wireless Router
- A wireless router is a device that performs the functions of a router but also includes the functions of a wireless access point. It is commonly used to allow access to the Internet or a computer network without the need for a cabled connection.
- A networking device that is a combination of an access point and a router. These devices are usually used in private homes where client PCs can be anywhere in the house (and thus use WiFi to connect), and the network is a broadband connection provided by an ISP.
- Wireless routers are actually routers with Ethernet plus wireless access points so that they have both wired and/or wireless at the same time.
- Digital subscriber line
- digital subscriber line: a generic name for digital lines that are provided by telephone companies to their local subscribers and that carry data at high speeds
- Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) is a family of technologies that provides digital data transmission over the wires of a local telephone network. DSL originally stood for digital subscriber loop.
- A method for moving data over regular phone lines. A DSL circuit is much faster than a regular phone connection, and the wires coming into the subscriber's premises are the same (copper) wires used for regular phone service.

Bad, Bad Clouds
These clouds went over the house at around 3:30 pm CST and caused all kinds of havoc in the neighborhood. I had come home early from the studio as we were having guests over for dinner, and I was planning to barbecue. In the storm I lost my wireless router and my DSL modem. It fried them pretty good, as the DSL wireless router would not even turn on and after spending two hours on the phone with AT&T about the modem the service techs, finally came to the conclusion it died a sad death. Talking with neighbors after the storm I heard of TV's, refrigerators, and phones, being zapped... So lightning had to have hit somewhere close! ARRRGGHH! Being without Internet and especially flickr is like being totally secluded! LOL! Gives a whole new meaning to the words of the Gilligan's Island theme song...
No phone, no lights no motor cars,
Not a single luxury,
Like Robinson Crusoe,
As primative as can be.
Excerpt from Gilligan's Island Theme Song.

So give me a few days to catch up again! It really does stink when you don't have Internet service for almost 24 hours!

Dd Wrt Wireless Access Point
- DD-WRT is a Linux-based firmware for several wireless routers, most notably the Linksys WRT54G (including the WRT54GL and WRT54GS).
- Direct someone's attention to the position or direction of something, typically by extending one's finger
- Indicate a particular time, direction, or reading
- a geometric element that has position but no extension; "a point is defined by its coordinates"
- orient: be oriented; "The weather vane points North"; "the dancers toes pointed outward"
- Direct or aim (something) at someone or something
- indicate: indicate a place, direction, person, or thing; either spatially or figuratively; "I showed the customer the glove section"; "He pointed to the empty parking space"; "he indicated his opponents"
During these near-zero values, the bandwidth graph provided by DD-WRT web interface freezes, as if the whole router froze (a Linksys WRT-54G). This affects VoIP very seriously. I checked the load average, and it is below 0.1. What's happening?

JOURNAL ON WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS AND NETWORKING. WIRELESS ETHERNET BRIDGES.
Journal On Wireless Communications And Networking
- Wireless communication is the transfer of information over a distance without the use of enhanced electrical conductors or "wires". The distances involved may be short (a few meters as in television remote control) or long (thousands or millions of kilometers for radio communications).

- (network) an interconnected system of things or people; "he owned a network of shops"; "retirement meant dropping out of a whole network of people who had been part of my life"; "tangled in a web of cloth"
- (network) communicate with and within a group; "You have to network if you want to get a good job"
- (network) (broadcasting) a communication system consisting of a group of broadcasting stations that all transmit the same programs; "the networks compete to broadcast important sports events"
- Link (machines, esp. computers) to operate interactively
- Connect as or operate with a network
- A daily record of news and events of a personal nature; a diary
- A logbook

- A newspaper or magazine that deals with a particular subject or professional activity
was originally created as a "love" journal
. As I became more disillusioned with the concept, it has taken quite a backseat and remains largely unfinished and unattended. As I am able to hope again, this journal
will resurrect itself.

The Personal Console
You know how an X-Box is basically like a PC? That's no good to me, because it can't play PC games or use a mouse and keyboard properly. So we have an actual PC, with wireless
keyboard, mouse and gamepad
. It plays N - that alone makes it better than any console ever built. It also plays MMOGs, and you can actually control FPSs on it. The display operates at 145% current console's best refresh rates, and at twice the resolution. It's also twice as fast, despite being made out of reject components from our current PCs.
And here we have my special place on earth, This is where i spend 99% of my time at home.
The Setup :
1Ghz 768Mb RAM AirPort Extreme 40Gb HD ComboDrive
PC - INTEL
Pink chassi INTEL core2 Duo 2.2Ghz+ 1256Mb RAM 40Gb + 80Gb HD + 2000 Gb HD
Windows XP with Lightstep ontop,
i need more ram and more HD space
